A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few functions, but it’s remarkably intuitive, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires just a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you’ll just have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the concrete address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any effort even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you have created using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
